Melanie Calvert has a Master’s Degree and a First Class Honours degree in Literature, and a degree in Journalism. She is a screenwriter working with seminal Australia Director Geoffrey Wright to develop her novel Freycinet as a feature film. Melanie was born in Launceston and grew up in Scottsdale in North-East Tasmania. She now lives in Canberra.
